It's great to welcome you to this web-site about our church, which is a Church of England church serving the communities of Davenham, Leftwich (see service page for seperate services for The Good Shepherd)and Kingsmead, in an area of mid-Cheshire, in the U.K.
St Wilfrid's church stands in a long tradition of Christian witness in this area, originally it is said that the church was founded by St Wilfrid on a journey through Cheshire in the 7th Century, but the first documented evidence of a church on the site is an existing priest and church in 1086 . Over the centuries in each new generation the church had to present the living message of the gospel of Jesus Christ in its own day. It is his power which makes us who we are!
St Stephen the Martyr is an Anglican Parish Church in the heart of Cheshire, and we have been proclaiming the Christian Faith in Moulton Village since our foundation in 1876. With a congregation crossing all ages and at all stages of Christian discipleship, we welcome you to this site and trust you will find what you need.
St Helen's, Witton, also known as 'Northwich Parish Church' is situated in the centre of Northwich. In former days Northwich relied heavily on the chemical industry, much of which has now closed. There is a busy shopping centre, but local jobs are becoming harder to find.
Our community is very varied. The parish extends from the town centre to the edge of the urban area. It is not uncommon for several generations of one family to live within the same street, and this is reflected in the commitment this church has to the people of our parish. This is a place where successive generations gather for baptisms, weddings and funerals. We believe the church ought to convey God's compassion for his people. The world and the church are changing, and many believe that the parish commitment is outdated. We beg to differ. In this community it is still valued, and we are determined to be the church for each and every member of our parish
