Located near Northwich in Cheshire, the Anderton Boat Lift is one of the greatest monuments to Britain's last canal age and known as the "Cathedral of the Canals".
Built in 1875 it was the world's first and is currently the UK's only Boat Lift.

Jodrell Bank Observatory is part of the School of Physics and Astronomy at The University of Manchester.
