Reports are coming in that an armed robbery took place today (Friday 4 Dec) at Tesco in Northwich. From what I can gather it took place this morning and the target was a security van. An unknown amount of cash was stolen, apparently still in a secure case. Reports are that the gang gained access to the security van through the back door gates, which were open.
The police aircraft could be seen circling Northwich around noon today.

Another report is that Halfords was burgled Thursday night and the thieves got away with £50,000 worth of merchandise including a quantity of sat nav systems.
